STADLER VÖLKEL appoints two new partners

The Vienna based business law firm STADLER VÖLKEL, which specializes, among other things, in crypto and fintech law, is expanding and has appointed the lawyers Mag.a Leyla Farahmandnia and Urim Bajrami as partners. The two attorneys at law have been supporting the law firm for some time and have earned an excellent reputation among clients and within the team, which will soon be 40-people strong.

"We are convinced that we have found an ideal and long-term reinforcement in both long-standing colleagues. Both are characterized by their exceptional expert knowledge in particularly sought-after areas of law as well as by a high level of trust among clients and staff," said founding partner Dr. Arthur Stadler.

"Leyla Farahmandnia and Urim Bajrami were already important parts of our team before their appointment as partners. Their friendly as well as human nature is only one aspect of this. The two are professionals in their respective fields of law and thus help to further expand the consulting focus and pioneering role of our firm," said founding partner Dr. Oliver Völkel.

Leyla Farahmandnia's consulting focus is on regulatory law and compliance, including money laundering prevention, especially for digital assets. At STADLER VÖLKEL, she acts as head of the compliance department in banking and finance. Her further specializations include public business law and, in particular, the representation of local and foreign FinTechs before the Financial Market Authority. She has advised many national and international virtual currency service providers on establishing their business model. Urim Bajrami, who has led the law firm's esports practice group since March 2019, is an expert in gaming and esports law, litigation, (financial) criminal law and criminal defense, as well as immigration and establishment law. His esports clients include well-known clubs, organizers, athletes and companies in Austria's esports scene.

STADLER VÖLKEL was founded in 2016 by Dr. Arthur Stadler and Dr. Oliver Völkel and has since developed from a "newcomer" in legal advice with a focus on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology into a broadly positioned business law firm. After just three years, Mag. Reinhard Schweng was added to the firm in 2019 as an additional partner. With the current expansion, STADLER VÖLKEL is continuing its further development and expansion into a comprehensive commercial law firm.
