The regulation of sports raises several interdisciplinary issues with regard to different fields of law. In Austria, the regulation of sports regarding several aspects is still in the process of development aiming at providing more legal certainty for athletes, sports clubs and federations.Arthur Stadler and Alice An present in their chapter for the Sports Law Review 2021 an overview of the development of selected sports law areas in Austria in the year 2020. The focus is put on the dispute resolution of sports law disputes, legislative reforms (especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic) as well as recent case law on sports law.
