We are excited to announce the launch of the DELPHI (Delivery vs. Payments Hybrid Initiative) research project! The project evaluates the feasibility of using blockchain technology for issuing bonds and providing settlement in real time using wholesale CBDCs. Within a simulation, the issuance and settlement of an Austrian federal bond as a security token on a blockchain is examined.
The project was launched by the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), OeKB CSD GmbH (OeKB CSD), the Austrian Federal Financing Agency (OeBFA), Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) and Erste Group Bank AG.
