Today, on Wednesday, 11 April 2018, an event on the topic "The liability of doctors in case of insufficient patient information – updates on case law" will be held at 7.00 p.m. at the Austrian Physicians Society (Billrothhaus, Frankgasse 8, 1090 Vienna).
Over the past 25 years the requirements on the medical profession have been drastically expanded, so Stadler Völkel Attorneys at Law is once again represented at this event. From a legal point of view, medical treatment represents an "intervention in the physical integrity" of the patient. Such interventions, even if performed by doctors, are body injuries. In order to justify this, it is of great importance for doctors to inform patients before treatment and to perform the treatment according to the rules of medical science known as" lege artis".
