Arthur Stadler and Oliver Völkel will hold a 1-day-seminar on the topic "Must-know regarding Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain" at the Academy of the Association for Consumer Information (VKI). The event will take place on 14 June 2018 in Vienna. As cryptocurrencies, the blockchain and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) steadily and progressively find their way into everyday life, their importance continues to increase. After the recent fraud scandals, the crypto-world has started gaining importance also from a legislative point of view, and stricter regulations are being considered.

What's expecting the participants of the seminar is an exciting and comprehensive discussion of various aspects of this extensive subject - from a civil, public and criminal law perspective. The seminar is not only aimed at consumers, but also at entrepreneurs, as it covers everything important from the current legislation (especially the Banking, Payment Services and Electronic Money Acts), rights and obligations under FAGG, KSchG and UWG, and on the potential new obligations after the 5^th Money Laundering Directive might come into force.
