At the event “Austria in a crypto-fever – Chances for the industry” some of the latest trends and questions regarding virtual currencies and blockchain applications were evaluated from a legal and an economic point of view. The event was organized in cooperation with the University of Vienna and the Danube University Krems, and took place at the Law faculty of the University of Vienna on 7 September 2017. Keynote speaker was Dr. Harald Mahrer, Federal minister of Science, Research and Economy. Throughout the evening was moderating Mag. Nikolaus Jilch (DiePresse). Among the speakers were Christian Piska (University of Vienna), Thomas Ratka (Danube University Krems), Magdalena Isbrandt (The House of Nakamoto), Natalie Enzinger (Enzinger StB) as well as Arthur Stadler and Oliver Völkel (both Stadler Völkel Attorneys at Law).
