The "hijacking" of Amazon product pages has long been considered a criminal mass phenomenon. The trademark registration via Amazon would solve the problem, but Austrian trademarks are - for inexplicable reasons - excluded. A trademark registered with the Austrian Patent Office cannot - unlike German or French trademarks, for example - be used for product labelling on Amazon. The Austrian trade association and STADLER VÖLKEL Attorneys at Law are therefore demanding that Amazon put an immediate end to the discrimination against Austrian retailers and trademark owners.
